Vet needed – Gray Street Veterinary Clinic in Emerald, Central QLD
Are you a Mixed or Small Animal Vet looking for a rewarding full time job in stunning Central Queensland? Our 4 vet practice has grown and we are looking for someone capable and confident enough to take charge of the Small Animal side of the clinic and take it to the next level.
Due to the variety of cases we see and the distance from any referral centre, you will be able to work cases up fully and get to rapidly expand your surgical skills. Don’t worry though, the other vets are always around to bounce ideas off and lend a hand! The roster is shared between 4 vets so after hours and weekend duties are light. Opening hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 9am to 12 noon on Saturday.
The clinic sports a top end digital x-ray unit, the latest Idexx blood machines, a IM3 dental machine, anaesthetic monitoring units and portable ultrasound. Theatre is fully equipped to perform most soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. The felines have a separate cat ward. You will have a great team of experienced nurses working with you and a modern integrated software program to make life easier.
Emerald is only a short flight from Brisbane and there is plenty to do in and around town. Some nearby highlights are Lake Maraboon and Carnarvon Gorge plus many amazing hiking and fishing spots. Emerald has a strong community spirit and excellent private and public schools.
Your salary will depend on your experience but will be very competitive. CPD is encouraged and the clinic funds a conference for you every 12 months. We can also assist with relocation – if you are amazing then we will do what it takes to get you here!
